Interior & Exterior Painting
A lasting paint job depends on the surface beneath it. Lunko Construction provides interior and exterior residential painting across Huntsville and North Alabama, coordinating preparation, drywall repair, primer, coatings and protection around the actual home.
Interior work may include walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards and doors. Before coating, surfaces are reviewed for loose material, failed caulk, holes, visible joints, stains, glossy finishes and previous repairs. The scope identifies what will be patched, sanded, caulked, primed and protected rather than treating every room as simple repainting.
Primer is selected for the substrate and condition. New drywall, patches, stains, bare wood and difficult existing finishes may need different preparation. Finish paint and sheen are then chosen for room use, cleanability, light and the appearance the homeowner wants.
Exterior painting begins with condition and access. Cleaning, scraping, repairs, caulk, masking, primer and coating compatibility affect performance. Brick painting is considered carefully because it changes the exterior permanently and the masonry must be evaluated for condition and moisture before a coating system is selected.
Drywall preparation and painting often belong in one scope. Texture removal, skim coating or repair work must dry and be sanded before primer; paint cannot hide an uneven substrate. We cross-link these services so homeowners can plan the wall system rather than splitting responsibility between unrelated phases.
Painting can also be coordinated with kitchen, bathroom, flooring and whole-home remodeling so completed cabinets, floors, fixtures and trim are protected and the work happens in a sensible order. Cabinet painting, deck staining, pressure washing and commercial painting are not advertised as stand-alone services here.

Do you paint both interiors and exteriors?
Yes, for residential projects that fit the published service area and scope. Exterior condition, access, weather and substrate requirements are evaluated before work is confirmed.
Will paint hide drywall damage or wall texture?
No. Paint follows the surface beneath it. Holes, failed joints, heavy texture and uneven repairs need the appropriate drywall preparation before coating.
Do you paint brick homes?
Selected brick-exterior painting can be evaluated. Because the change is difficult to reverse, masonry condition, moisture behavior, cleaning, primer and coating compatibility must be considered first.
Do you offer cabinet painting, deck staining or pressure washing?
Those are not advertised here as stand-alone services. If one is relevant to a larger approved remodeling or painting scope, availability must be confirmed during consultation.
